This study is for people between the ages 18-80 with moderate to severe itchiness due to Notalgia Paresthetics (NP) or "itchy" back.

The study is testing an oral drug called Difelikefalin, taken twice daily for 12 weeks. For the first eight weeks, patients will be taking either a 2.0 mg dose or a placebo. For the last four weeks, all patients will take the active medication twice daily. The purpose of the study drug is to reduce the itch associated with NP.
